La Lettre des sables, new opera by Christian Lauba will be performed for the first time this evening in Bordeaux.

The libretto by Daniel Mesguich, inspired by H. G. Wells' novel The Time Machine, relates the time travels of a man looking for the woman he loves, from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century.
The cast includes Christophe Gay, Bénédicte Tauran, Avi Klemberg, Boris Grappe and Daphné Touchais.
The Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine and the Chœur de l'Opéra national de Bordeaux are conducted by Jean-Michel Lavoie. The director is Daniel Mesguich.
